To inculcate a spirit of leadership amongst the students and to provide a platform to organise and carry out the vidyalaya activities, the students are elected as the members of the student council. The selection is done on the basis of parliamentary procedures. Ideas are presented, voted upon and are confirmed by the members of the houses.The students of the vidyalaya are placed into four houses- Shivaji House, Tagore House, Ashoka House and Raman House. In each house, 14 members are elected by the members of their house. Above them, there are school captains, school vice captains and school sports captains. For each post one boy and one girl is selected to give equal representation. Throughout the academic session, these members perform their duties with zeal and zest to uphold the flag of their house as well as the vidyalaya high. The students ideas, interest and concern for all are nourished and nurtured by the students’ council.
